Philips Design Line TV, a new innovation in TV design?
With a simple yet beautiful design, the new Philips PDL8908 (Design Line TV) from TP Vision (a joint venture between Philips and TP Technology) looks stunning with a glassy TV panel (fully transparent when switched off) leaning on the wall without any stand or wall frame.
The bottom half appears pretty pleasing with a black gradient tone covering it. When switche on, the top half acts as a regular TV assisted by Philips’ ‘Ambilight’ technology.
Philips PDL8908 comes with features like 3D glasses, smart TV functions, Wi-Fi acesss, Wi-Fi Miracast. The phenomenal 1400 Hz refresh rate will eliminate almost any kind of motion blur. This TV also includes 4 HDMI ports and 3 USB ports.
PDL8908 series comes in two variants, 55-inch and 46-inch and will hit the European and Russian markets in Q2’13 . The price is still a mystery. You can see the detailed TechSpecs here.
